December 7-11In life, much of the driving force in human behaviour and relationship occurs imperceptibly: what we “see” is already steered by hidden fears, insecurity and prejudice. Remarkably, many of our reactions and responses during group dialogue remain outside our perception yet are nevertheless still acting to distort the inquiry itself. Krishnamurti goes a step further and claims that the very mechanism of sensitive human perception and thinking, is driven by Time: a psyche bound by the continuity of recorded thought patterns. He asks us whether we have the intensity to question this existence and break free? Or do we accept a life without true freedom or spontaneity?
January 11-15Are we aware of our deeper loneliness and isolation? Isn’t our superficial sense of loneliness often quickly filled with people or activities to paper over the emptiness? Is there a more existential loneliness and isolation lying outside our perception, yet driving the mind at all moments? According to J. Krishnamurti, human beings are blinded by a conditioning so deep that our very perceptions separate us from the reality we face and the relationships we are involved in. Is there something about perception itself that may condemn us to a life of isolation and loneliness? Are we trapped in an existence without freedom and without love?
About the KFA
The purpose of the Krishnamurti Foundation of America (KFA) is to preserve and disseminate the teachings of J. Krishnamurti and advance public understanding and realization of human potential by means of the study of these teachings. Our activities are focused on making the teachings available through traditional and modern media, outreach programs both in the USA and internationally, and through our adult Educational Center and School in Ojai.
Our challenge is to make Krishnamurti’s teachings available to all age groups, different cultures, economic groups and races, and to do this we continue to expand our dissemination efforts.
