What should be the educator's response to the human predicament?
Are we merely interested in getting students onto the conveyor belt of success?
Is it possible for teachers to help students live intelligently and compassionately?
Can education help change the never-ending cycle of self-interest, personal and social conflict?
Can teachers equip students to intelligently face the unprecidented complexity of the world'd problems?
