Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

You can take the two greatest enemies in the world, give them a can of beans, and a cup of Joe, and  their combined hot air, flatulence,  and absolute personal hypocrisy will pollute the whole forum. The bragging that we are helping others, Spouting  Hate, arrogance,  from inner peace, is not new, its just not ever  true .:-)

Re: Some relevant observations to share...

There is no noble or better conditioning :Does not the urge of the mind to free itself from its conditioning set going another pattern of resistance and conditioning? Having become aware of the pattern or mold in which you have grown up, you want to be free from it; but will not this desire to be free condition the mind again in a different manner? The old pattern insists that you conform to authority, and now you are developing a new one which maintains that you must not conform; so you have two patterns, one in conflict with the other. As long as there is this inner contradiction, further conditioning takes place....There is the urge that makes for conformity, and the urge to be free. However dissimilar these two urges may seem to be, are they not fundamentally similar? And if they are fundamentally similar, then your pursuit of freedom is vain, for you will only move from one pattern to another, endlessly. There is no noble or better conditioning, and it is this desire that has to be understood. The book of Life May 25

What is a double standard? Is it  not conveyed by positing I am peaceful, your all hateful? I am one of the beautiful people your not, unless you believe me, or in me ? I am kind your cruel. My  son is an angel on earth yours is a Dennnis the menace . My life is wonderful yours is a disgrace, and you have none . My divorce was my husbands fault yours was your own not his, not your wifes either if your a man, but your narrow selfs fault unlike mine? Or I am a jungle like tarzan, a strong alpha  MALE.? You better be my Jane or else I will make sure no one else will ever want you, or have you, and continue to stalk and slander you, demean you  with the bitterness, the jealousy  in me I call Love, and peace and insights into myself? All the hypocrisy especially  after agreeing with everything she  said for months when you thought  she wanted you or to be your Jane ?  Lets grow up together, this double talking is  immature and a soap opera here , even if it reflects what vanity persists and  goes on in real life ?  :-)

Seriously, this whole buisiness of banning is utterly silly, childish and sorta pretty cheap.  Is this how people solve stuff??  People are doing this world over, banning, eliminating each other, sabotaging one another and nobody actually really listening to one another!  Such restlesness and in such hurry to do this,  get there, get rid of that.  I mean if you're all going to behave no different than the rest of the world what's the point of your having read Krishnamurti?

Anyways, evidently the ones who're yelling violence the most seem violent themselves, or representing violence.  Violence is always in the thought of it, the thought which is the thinker and then seeing this she/he wants to change it by controlling, adding rules, concepts..and yet humanity doesn't change for these are temporary fixes.

Ain't it really silly and immature, these time outs, bannings?  Makes me laugh. I mean I've never once felt the need to even utter something as foolish as the word, 'time-out', forget imposing it.

I do wish that humanity grows out of this immaturity, childishness and begins to look within and find peaceful ways to communicate than using violence on violence.  Afterall, we're supposed to be evolving, not devolving!

It's such a glorious day, the cool breezes, the early morning quiet and that amazing walk....transporting you to places thought can never enter....

Have a fabulous day all you ladies and guys and do try and take it easy.  Chill, cool, enjoy the moment, let go, begin afresh...and thank you for letting me share my observations, thoughts.

very well written, pearl. i cannot understand, how long the people spend their time with k talks and really many of them are only on that very superficial level, philosophic-amateurs and/or professionals , that a normal challange in life makes them reacting, how the very majority on earth. so, nothing against ehasset, - i appreciate his technical authority according creating websites and so on- but i think he represents the majority of the members in the ning-site -( except MJK and some other) according dealing with k - so i propose in a very superficial manner. but he said, nobody is perfect, and i see that as a beginning of insight (perhaps)...

Quiet unbelievable, isn't it?  Techincal authority is something but anyone setting themselves up for any kind of inward, spiritual authority is sure setting themselves up for a big down fall!  Superficilaity is rampant in people's lives and most never really go beyond the surface of things.  BTw, I'm really enjoying your recent comments, awareness.   Very perceptive of you.  Some good minds, some spice is needed or the forum gets stale and dull.

That picture was taken in Thailand, so probably so.  What better way to survive a tsunami than to fatten up, hydrate, surround yourself with coconut debris, and sport your life preservers.
