Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

it's a serious constant movement punctuated by moments of incredulity and hilarity.

ok then...when doing that inward looking, are you seeing the answer maker come forward?

A lot of times the mind/brain is solidly silent. It does not want to move. Facing a question it moves but it never satisfies with an inteltlectual answer for it does not memorize anything. And the answer must be intense, with energy, with a genuine actuality.

If I hadn't been to the annual K gathering, I would suspect all the k-nuts to be bodiless orbs of consciousness, or perhaps some variation of a brain in a jar.  So come clean snuggy....do you actually inhabit a body?  I can't really tell.

it's too uncomfortable to inhabit a body.

In fact, it is a lot of not knowing. It is just silence, losing a lot of conceptual knowing.

everything you have said here is just knowing speaking...

May I repeat the question I have asked here many times, if only because it's very serious: If the Buddha were to start posting on here, how would you know?

Since a person could only possibly recognise 'light' if they already know it, which would be to say that they must already have it in some (whatever) measure in order to recognise it, then only a 'seer', a 'knower', would possibly be able to recognise the Buddha's posts.

If you cannot recognise the light that actually exists on the forum already, then patently you would not recognise light in any new poster, be he who he may.

I only want to talk about things like conflict, identification... and it is not important at all about my achievement or that sort of stuff. The last few posts were just a little about background to clear misunderstanding. Other than that, it is more about the understanding than anything.

Of course, it is all life still. You don't live in escape, but with deeper understanding you live much more happier.

I suspect that you are off balance with your theory. What do you mean I don't have a body? It's just hilarious Eden. hahahaha, really funny. You can ask some people in kfa about me they might remember. hahaha no body? I like to be a nobody.

No no Roots, life is full of problems, challenges, mysteries, and it requires a lot of understanding before there can be intelligence and freedom. In the course of constant learning one discovers what is inside consciousness and new things. It is rather more and more losing of the I, disgusting of the I, which is a big illusion. If you make it personal, it will be far very wrong. There is no need for identification at all and that is real freedom isn't it?

Re: Friends.

So can we continue?

I am not sure you discover great great interest in the teachings from K. If you do you would tell me, you would find it new and energetic and you'd like to talk about it more and discover more.

Do you have anything to tell me seriously and deeply about the truth in life?

Re: Friends.

long before I ever heard of K I saw that I was not who I thought I was.  I am not a cheerleader, obviously, because I also saw and see that while this is important for some (cheerleading) for others it is only a perpetuation of their dreaming, and to aid in that would be dishonest.  I did not learn this from K, I learned it by observing it happen in my own thinking.

Re: Friends.

I am not interested at all about cheerleading. You can talk about K conditioning. And first though, what is conditoning? Can you condition yourself and not run into conflict with life as a flux? If I understand myself daily using K as a pointer, will I condition myself? I am not being defensing, protecting myself, but if we are really rational and take a clear look, what will it be?

Re: Friends.

To really look at life and find out the truth about it all, don't we need to be very open and free of all prejudices? I don't say, ok, I have my experiences, my knowledge, my inclination and from that I will look and determine life accordingly.  Do I care enough to go into all elements of life and from there look at the whole? Or do I stick to my own fragment and conclude?

What do you mean "care enough to go into all elements of life and from there look at the whole."?

Re: Friends.

Deception to oneself and then spread it to others are one element but that is not all for life. It is up to you really because what is behind the talk? We can look at that. But does one have interest and energy? What makes one talk?

Re: Friends.

Si, if you say something I would like to be able to understand what you mean, but if you do not explain it then I am still confused what you meant.  Do you know what you meant there?  Deception to oneself and spreading it to others is one element you mention here but what do you really mean?

clearly if myself or someone else is in a conversation with you then the energy is there for it, so please stop the qualifications and try to answer the questions...

If cheerleading is deception then you point it out and move on. There are so many things to address.

I don't try to qualify you. If you do have the energy, then you go on regardless. Are you upset Joe?

Re: Friends.

I do not think I am upset, no...I like you Si, I really do.  Roots thinks I am just tearing you down to tear you down but he does not see clearly around you.  I am challenging some things in the way you write because to me they indicate a separation, a posit, which is the one and only thing of relevance in these matters.

Of course, I am learning, I do care about equal relationship. I like challenging questions and I cannot see my own subjectivity. And when I talk, I can see my own mistakes like pride, polishing the self and so on... and of course I learn from you, every body, even challenge from eden.

Re: Friends.

good, then friends it is...so, what is there really to talk about?  Is our talking really just an ongoing reaction?  What if everything is a reaction?

Re: Friends.

No, I don't think so at all. I really like to keep the attitude very simple, conflict free. Then from there really talk, explore together. I want to learn and find out what it really means to be truly concerned for others, instead of competing, comparing, or opposing.

Now, if we cannot help each other, at least see why there are so much conflict, differences and isolation. That can be something to see.
