Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Strange

The other day, I was watching a couple of movies, and I noticed I was laughing a lot. Part of it was because the view of the producer, screenwriter, director, even actors were all seen instantly, and quite hillarious, although the intention was different. Even the audiences'reactions were seen, and how they were suppossed to react.
Another part was that somehow I was able to anticipate what would happen, in terms of action and what one would say-word or phrase-but JUST BEFORE IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
It is not because I've seen a lot of movies, because I wasn't trying to project, to imagine in advance what would happen: but being completely in the moment, there are details, little ones, of how they move on the screen, expressions, gestures, and all those give away what will happen, BUT not well in advance-I was not concerned with that, after all-but right before it would actually happen.
In fact, once I realized what was happening, towards the end of the second movie, I tried to do it consciously, and I simply couldn't: the present moment was gone when memory interfered.

Quite strange all this, since it happened spontaneously, it wasn't planned.

Re: Strange

And speaking of strange, yesterday human cruelty reared again its ugly head: 2 little snakes were killed with satisfaction, with anger, with a desire to fit into the image of 'a real man'.
They were innocent, and quite defensiveless: I did not look at the show, for there was quite a crowd watching, with a woman recording the whole thing, "to show off in front of 'friends' later on".

There was no sadness, only emptiness, and a speechless state.

  Humans are quite ugly.

Re: Strange

Nothing personal here.  You said "humans are quiet ugly", and I said you're one of them since you're also a human.

Re: Strange

Aah, I'm not sure. Because when the genes are 'transformed', then the parents, who are the mankind, are not 'active' anymore in one's structure-and so the 'human' element is not being present, in the usual way.

Re: Strange

No, sir don't go off into some dull, vague intellectual explainations.  You and your parents, your ancestors are all the same, fearful, ugly, brutal.

Re: Strange

It is intellectual for the intellectual.

And to repeat phrases mechanically has no meaning, really.

It is a fact that you're not different than those ulgy, brutal, fearful people irrespective of your explainations, denials.

Surprise surprise. What do we have here. Poor little brucey is now contradicting everything he has been jabbering about in here day after day with his endless assertions that all brains are the same, all humans are the same, there is only one human brain, one human mind, all bodies are basically the same, etc etc.  It was only a matter of time before he contradicted it all. Perhaps he will now retract all the bullshit he has been asserting in here from day one?  Feel free brucey--I'll await your heartfelt retraction.

Brucey watches stupid predictable action moives and laughs excitedly,
denies things he says on the forum,
thinks himself to be an exception until pointed out,
likes a girl and never has the balls to tell her so and says,"what will happen will happen" and says he is different than the humans whom he says are ugly!

Sorry, can't stop laughing.

Re: Strange

Every body passes through the brucey stage in their growth. Weren't you a bit like brucey at one point, for a minute at least?  Surely it isn't that important.  There are many bruceys out there, and there will be many more.

So what's new with you pearl?

Eden, hate to break it to you, but you are still in that phase yourself.

We all are. We are no different than each other.

Laughing hysterically here, how you are trying to get back in Pearls good graces. So predictable.

What? Me dirty mouthed? You got me mixed up with Eden.

I might be a sycophant, but I pride myself on not having a foul mouth.

Pearl, I mean no harm or disrespect in my posts towards you, nor towards Eden, I am just responding in kind. If you or him are going to attack me, I am going to attack back.

Re: Strange

I was reading for hours tonight about K, from his cook. The book "Kitchen Chronicles" by Michael Krohnen. It is actually pretty good.

I saw some things in it that you and Eden told me before but did not believe. K himself doubted whether Jesus actually existed or not.

Also, K said Gandhi was very violent in his fasting, it was anything but non violence.
