Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Re: Elephant

Why don’t we want to get a blessing first for ourselves and from ourselves then we can see if the other people need it too?

And then probably at last for all the animals in the world including the sacred elephants, sacred monkeys, sacred crocodiles, sacred caws, sacred cobras and all non-sacred cats and mice.

The birds, mammals, the fish, and all the other countless creatures, don't need our blessing. They need us to stop murdering them in their millions.

Life seems to be more serious thing than just a feeling of euphoria and a real blessing has even less to do with the state of ‘lalallalalalalallalala’…

Well, yes, they probably do. They probably need us to stop murdering them in their millions, indeed.

But yet I think not exactly in direct way.

Before we can stop killing them we need to consider stopping killing ourselves.
Everyone is speaking about this nowadays, but the practice shows a picture very different from that talking; on the contrary, the more talking and more appeals all around the deeper, more brutal and more global the conflict becomes.

There is something very wrong in all those appeals to protect animals. There is a load of hypocrisy in all those protective societies where some members show their willingness sometimes to put at risk their life and freedom for animals (like whales, for example).

However noble those movements might seem, they still distract attention from the main point and dissipate the mankind’s energy like any talking does which is missing the main point.
And the members? Aren’t they doing that just because it’s easier to establish myself, to get famous than to find out what the world without conflict is?

BTW, a historical fact: the world’s most famous persona Mr. Hitler was a vegetarian as well as member of society for protecting animals against killing.

This fact says a lot to me about spiritual development of mankind, doesn’t it?

‘Here’ meaning where exactly we are passing?

Ekanta wrote:

Actually, I’m just doing alright, well understanding that fun is just another form of suffering.
Thanks for your good wishes, anyway, Ekanta.

That’s OK, we all know that,

but what do you know about dying every current moment, if I may ask you?

No, thanks for asking.

Sorry to say, Ekanta, but you are still touching yourself.

First we need to understand Krishnamurti entirely before we are able to use and not misuse his advices and directions of behaviour from his particular sayings.

The Bible reminds us of being good to other people. Any church repeats it over 2000 years. Everyone politician is speaking about this everywhere.

The result – the conflict becomes even deeper and relations in the human society become even more brutal.

Goodness, kindness, generosity, magnanimity, integrity, morality, probity, purity, rectitude, righteousness, virtue – they don’t come from preaching, neither from reminders.

They are not a matter of convincing each other to be good.
They might come from understanding only.

So much is for you, my friend.
