Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Re: Strangers

According to immature minds like eden, those whom he can control, manipulate and put up with his childish, bullying tactics are insightful!   Totally cheesy and creepy guys such as eden, full of bs which I find to be ugly.  He has until now not a single insight that is original nor does he even understand how to speak to people, totally hijacked by thought and blissfully unaware of it.  Ha, talk about heights of insanity and ignorance.

Well I am sure there is a "person" underneath your shells somewhere.  But since you are in denial that you even have any, it's gonna be pretty tricky to navigate around them and through them don't ya think.

You remain totally oblivious to the bs you're full of.  Each day you denigrate yourself to the lowest of lowest integrity. Bugger off!

Nice edit. I was worried for a second that I was both insane and ignorant. Whew.

I did not say she is perfect or anything like this. I said she is very insightful. There is a big difference. I dont know any human being who is free of all patterns and shells.

Well, then she is clearly lacking insight into her own patterns and shells. Compared to the average joe, I would say she is indeed very insightful.  I have no problem saying that she is more insightful than 99.99% of the humans on this planet. Compared to someone who has deep insight into their own patterns and shells, she is very uninsightful. It's obvious from which vantage point you are looking.

Why do you continue to judge and rate people as insightful or not insightful, partial insight or deep insight, etc? Why make distinctions?

And why judge me as being uninsightful? I am not judging you. Seriously, I am asking....

I just read what interests me on here without making any judgements and if I can learn something from it, I do, and if not, I just move on...

What I have noticed about him, is that, he does not change. He comes here with the same old patterns.... Never looks into them or changes them....

Indeed.  You see, he used to tell me that he is here only for pearl, and I never really understood what he meant nor did I pay much attention to it as it sounded rather childish, but now it's clear that he simply wants to control, own people and alas, he cannot fathom that he won't and can't, no matter how much longer he stays.  But when people would ask him why he was here, he would say to improve his language skills, two different explainations.  I wondered why he never told people the truth, that he really is here for something else.

Yes, two different explanations. I remember him saying that he was here to improve his language skills, to be precise with words/language.

Re: Strangers

I wonder if jealousy, if that, has anything to do with him and why he wants to control... This is only speculation on my part, but I think jealousy is something that might explain his actions better.

And sds, he has a girlfriend if he wants to control, own, possess.

I also think he is insecure. He seems very insecure to me. Thus, he acts like this.

Re: Strangers

I have never met anyone who is so rigid, so controlling, so stuck in his own patterns. I am close to giving up on him, I just dont think I can ever penetrate his shells and closure.

I have tried over and over again to meet him, to really communicate with him, but he will not have at it. He rather be in his own make believe league of those who are deeply insightful. And not come down to my level....

It is obvious to me, to my eyes, that he cannot let you go. He is obsessed with you...

As an experiment, I would ask Eden to refrain from replying to your posts for a week or so, or whatever days feels right to him. As an experiment, to see how hard it is, what comes up for him, what his reactions are, if he even can do it, etc. It would show him where he is really at...

This is something I'd like to keep it between the two of us, sds. :-)  But, I can tell you about my ex.  I shared a most wonderful relationship with my ex and there was such love between us.  He was and still is a very unique man.  He loved me like no other and I did too, but somehow we couldn't make it work and so let go of each other, but we're great friends still... no jealousy, no residues, no hurts, no fights.  He also is the father to my child and a very fantastic one.  But don't get me wrong, we are not together now but still get along very well and remain great parents to our boy.  I feel very happy to see him with his girlfriend and want nothing but the best for him.  That's my relationship with the father of my child.  If you ever come to Montreal you could meet him and see for yourself.  But don't get me wrong, we're not in love.

edit- Btw, he was the only man I lived with under the same roof, travelled countries, listened to music, watched movies, had great many conversations and also have a wonderful child together.  I recall when I was pregnant in the later months I used to totally tired attimes and totally incapable of cooking food when hungry, and he would make me all my meals and bring it to me which was so kind, so nice of him.  A very caring, responsible man like no other I'd ever met.

Dear Eden sir, please apply this same exact advice towards yourself. I think it applies directly to you too. What do you think?

Re: Strangers

See, I might be a hypocrite, which I most certainly am, and it is easily spotted on here for all to see. But I admit it, I look at it, I see myself in action. All I ask of Eden is that he try to do the same. He doesnt have to, of course, and I will drop this examination of him soon, but it would be nice if he saw some of what many on here see of him for himself...

I got a feel for the wonderful relationship you had with your ex and only can imagine this love, this love that is not possessive or controlling and has no hurts or residues. A love that is willing to let go and not hold onto... So beautiful, thank you for sharing....

Yes, yes, the only man who truly loved me and whom I truly loved and trusted and I still trust him to be the greatest dad to my son and a wonderful humanbeing.  I just added(edited) something to the previous post it if you can read.

Yes, Pearl. I read the edit. I am truly awed in reading about the relationship you had and continue to have with your ex. This is what relationship is all about. And what love is all about...

It's not rocket science folks. The alledged shallowness that he so angrily talks about in others in order to get a rise out of them is simply a reflection of his own lack of depth. I would pity him, but that would be the biggest insult that I could give any human. I saw through him immediately and knew it would only be a matter of time before he publicly cracked.  That kind of blatant arrogance is the most obvious of facade's. He keeps it up because he has thrown all his chips on the table and he doesn't realize or doesn't care that everyone has called him on his bluff. One day maybe...he will become brave enough to show his hand. At that point...he may finally have some peace in his life. But until that time...it must be realized that, if I were him...I would probably act the same way.

Re: Strangers

Yes, he opened me up to many things, to music, to movies from all over the world...and was also the one who gave me a book of Krishnamurti which he had picked up on a footpath, while wandering the towns of India with which he had fallen in love.  He was not "into' Krishnamurti but read this book and passed it on to me saying, 'you should read this guy, he's kinda interesting" :-) which I read only after many months.  This is the past.

You have a nice way of summarizing things Bob.

I do hope he is willing to talk to you one of these days. It seems he avoids you....
