Yes, well it's possible to have a quick thought that one is aware or was aware throughout the day, which is only a faulty logical conclusion solely based on the fact that the senses and the body are functioning. Is this what you are saying? How would you differentiate between this thought and awareness?

Hi beans, it came to be seen that thought is a mechanical, repetitive process which is inattention, and thought and awareness are mutually exclusive I would add.

Howdy! Well, thought is a natural function of the brain. We are using technical thought to communicate with each other here. One can be aware and pay attention to the stream of repetitive egoic thought when that happens, and when it quiets down, can be aware of the occurrence of isolated egoic thoughts that happen. Or we can be unaware of the repetitive stream or isolated egoic thoughts and get caught up in reactions.

Interesting, I see it nearly the same:  The thought that someone is aware (and claiming that awareness) is an egoic thought. One can be aware of the occureence of that thought when it happens and let it pass, or grab onto it and identify with it as someone who has transcended. Without this identification, there is a sense of awareness when the person (without the extra thought of I) is aware.
