Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

What it means to be alone?

Hello All,

So what does it mean to be alone to you? Please do feel free to share how you see. To me it means you're completely alone inwardly, free of all influences, all distractions, disturbances. Yet, it doesn't mean you're in isolation, but on the contrary you're totally flowing with life, one with all that life brings, totally aligned with the great flow of life, the universe. Nobody can break you, nothing can influence you and you're all alone. You can have the best of friends and all the men and women, everything at your feet yet you're not influenced by any of it, the pleasures and sorrows, the lack of anything. Isn't it a most beautiful thing? Do you, I mean, any of you really understand what I'm trying to say? Do you know what it means to be alone, so alone that nothing can destroy, or break you all the challenges the limitations of thought, time (fragmentation). With love. A

Re: What it means to be alone?

It means you're not influenced by your husband, your wife, your culture, your religion, conditioning, authority, your friends, your nation, your past, your experiences, images. And so you're completely alone, and being alone you're totally one with life, death, love and yet free of all that is, totally free in the truest sense of it. and so nothing can touch you. You're in the deepest free of fear, of death, of failure, success. Do you know what a beautiful thing it is?  You must live it to know it.

Re: What it means to be alone?

It is love itself.
It is beauty at it's deepest, purest, fullest.
No greater beauty than it.
No greater religion than it.

To have such a mind is to have a truly religious mind.

Too bad, amardaya, that none of these responses are coming right out to tell you what utter delusional nonsense you're getting into.  They're politely skirting the issue and fabricating the soft porn of uncritical reflection.  But what else is one to do.  You're obviously addicted to secondhand pieties.  I hope you'll manage to put it all behind you.   But it's a disease that afflicts most people here.  So you'll have plenty of company.

Re: What it means to be alone?

With every post here your mind is on display.  There is a lot to be learned.  But we need the right perspective.  And that's the hard part.

Something's up with hermann - why all this extra energy behind the usual posting patterns. It's still hermann, but in turbo mode.
