Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Don't move your eyes for 2 minutes and heaven is there.

Re: The secret to heaven.

really bruce, heaven?  You who negate any mention of a word like this anytime it is mentioned around here and yet that is what you run with.  Heaven.  And you think you are not searching, hehehe...

Re: The secret to heaven.

No, no, not as a search. I meant ' just do it', for someone out there.

'Heaven' in the sense of utmost clarity, or complete lack of friction. It's just a word after all.

Re: The secret to heaven.

bruce, you do not find heaven in that direction until that point becomes the fulcrum around which you dance.

You will not have clue one as to what I have just said, and that because you went whistling by that point, on your way to heaven.

Hell! It's presently 95 degrees outside my abode! Good for the the tomatoes!

of course it is just a word and you make much bother about it when another uses it.  Just pointing, moving on now...

I know excatly what you're saying. You see, I was going to say at some point that it's tricky and not that simple. But who knows? Let people go into it first. Maybe you're wrong, maybe not.

But in a nutshell, that's the quickest way to heaven. Sure, if it's not a way, then it's meaningless. I just don't see why a thing so simple and direct is being missed by the average brain.

Someone should let all the prisoner's in jail know that heaven is just two minutes away.

What you really need, bruce, is a kindergarten, not forum.
There are many other similar things in there and as you know the children, the haven is all theirs.

Of course, 2 minutes is arbitrary. It could be much less. The point is tthat he brain doesn't stay in the unknown long enough-perhaps less than a second, and so it is useless. When it 'tries' to stay, fear comes along and makes it move away, towards the known.

And instead of being aware of thoughts, understanding patterns and all that, with a brain that doesn't have space at all, being aware of the eyes'movements is easier-perhaps...

Yes, the dotted line-but I mean probably something else: I mean a a way of functioning.

I just thought you were profoundly neurotic,

'Normal social functioning'?? Only the sick wants to function 'normally'. And society is sick, so to fit in it is to be sick as well.

  Personality?? A bunch of masks...

Apparently you're contradicting yourself calling it meditation, and earlier you called it hypnosis...Just do it and find what what exacly is. It's just 2 minutes of your life, after all...

Thanks bruce, but now I’m out of this age and stage of my spiritual development.

In fact, I did it previously, many times and not only that, but many many other things.
After all, I was doing the whole Yoga.
