Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

But I'm not sure anyone got the point, since pitfall already got some objections on your original post.

Ok, so you thought it best to inject a different and unrelated point of your own, I get it.

Re: change...

Not totally unrelated...But that's what I do, it seems, perception makes some points, that's all.

pretty much unrelated, except in your own thought bruce, and that is the point here...it is not perception that makes all these mistakes and wrong conclusions for you, it is thought, and then you use thought to deny that fact.

Re: change...

The point being made was very relevant, and useful to anyone who's been in the situation described: namely, all of us. So it's very relevant, irrespective to whatever point you thought you made.
Don't be too attached to whatever you were trying to say: who cares?  You said something which apparently wasn't undesrtood: who cares? Another point was made, it doesn't matter who made it, if was valid, so be it.
You're giving too much importance to not being understood: big deal, unless you're giving importance to yourself.

No that is your interpretation.  Remember, I did not seek this out, you came voluntarily to give a false perception, a perception only in your mind but not related to the posting.  I don't care about you understanding me but I am going to check the tires when I see it has a flat, which is all I did.

Re: change...

Was there something wrong in what I said? Anything at all, irrespective of your suppossed point?

Or, it doesn't matter for you the correctness of that? What matters is if I got your point or not. I mean, apart from that, another point was made: are you dismissing it from the get-go? That's fine with me, but there are two differences here: you had no problem understanding, at least verbally what I said, whereas you say I didn't. So I can't help it, you can.
And, the point was made for whoever reads that post, since this is an open dialogue, so even if we dismiss a point, perhaps others won't, such is the beauty of this place.
