Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

100 most spiritual people

http://www.watkinsbooks.com/review/watk … l-100-list

Here is a list of the top 100 most spiritually influential living people. It is from 2011.

Eckhart Tolle is number one and Dalai Lama number two. I noticed that David Deida, one of Edens favorites is number 64, he made the list....

If K was still alive, I wonder if he would make the top five. Almost for sure he would, if not be the number one most spiritually influential person....

Pretty funny, sds. Good news, old favorite Dalai Lama is back at the top spot on the 2012 list. Deida is out, but I predict a big come back in 2013. We should start a betting pool.

I predict Deida will be make a big comeback in the 22nd century.

We should also start a list of non-vegetables. I nominate pearl for that task. Perhaps we could sponsor the endeavor, though probably it will only take her 30 seconds to compile the list.

Re: 100 most spiritual people

The thing about guys like deida is, that in the west most males started to become confused with their sexuality, and manhood living with highly masculinized females who lost touch with their femininity.  So now we have males who are totally femininized and females who are totally masculinized.  So some guy like deida comes up and shows the wimpy, femininized males to wake up and be men, not females in male bodies and so males like eden take him up on it, yet remain totally confused and vegetable like, following anyone but looking, learning, observing for themselves....ofcourse night too I'm sure is in the same club.  Not just eden and night, but many males here where I live often complain about the highly masculinized females, but somehow have not gotten as confused like the eden's of the world, and when they see a real woman totally comfortable in her skin and being feminine and beautiful they go nuts, completely taken in by such a creature.  To them it's like seeing a most beautiful flower, a real flower admidst a world of fake, plastic flowers.  But guys like eden will remain plastic even if a hundred deidas take the top spot, wimpy, femininized males who can only dream about real women.  Go figure.

Re: 100 most spiritual people

What has happened in the west is that most females started to compete with the males and in the porcess started to act, think, and even look like men, and then they have extremes where men pump their bodies to look more masculine, and women who get fake boobs, fake lips, fake what ever to look like women and impress the wimpy femininized males.  Just so much confusion in man and woman of today's world and no deida, no dalai lama can help them it seems, for they both remain totally lost, disconnected from their bodies, minds and hearts.  What to do?  then there is the whole so called male population like...who are violent, aggressive and abusive to their fellow women beings.  Highly unbalanced of the male and female energies.  But I don't think anyone can teach anybody to be a man, or a woman.

You don't think?  Or you know for a fact?

What's funny, is your two paragraphs above is exactly the stuff Deida points out, almost word for word.  So there you are, sounding just like Deida.  Now how is it that you and a vegetable are both making the exact same observations and are having a similar urge to point it out to others?  Strange!

Re: 100 most spiritual people

I just posted this because I thought it was interesting and I always like to stay informed about spiritual people, gurus, teachers. Thought you guys/gals might enjoy it too.

I just mentioned Deida because we have talked about him a little on this forum and I was personally surprised to see his name on there. I guess he is more popular than I thought.

I did see a lot of charlatans, frauds, and new age hucksters on that list.

Probably this list is not as funny as the list of top 100 spirituals.

Dhi, get your mind out of the gutter. Your mind is supposed to be focused on spirituality not on women.

As tempted as I am to check out the top 100 women of 2011, I will pass. And will stick to my spiritual list....

Thanks, Night. Glad you enjoyed it. I did too.

Well, the Lama is in front for 2012 but he still has a long way to go. If Tolle cranks out another book or goes back on Oprah or something, watch out Lama....

And maybe Deida might find a way to get back in the thick of things.

There is still 9 months to go before they finalize the rankings....

I am just the messenger, I just shared this list, but it is not my list.

And I agree, many of them are very dull indeed.... Dead....

It is funny to see so many cultic, perverted, egotistical, and dull people on this list, which is supposed to be a list of spiritual people. They are anything from spiritual in my opinion.

It is interesting though to stay informed to see what the average person believes in and who they look to for their spirituality.... Hence this list....

I'm looking forward to you and pearl collaborating on the list of non-vegetables.

When do you think it might be compiled?  And please do let us know if you need any financial assistance as I feel it is a very worthy cause.
