Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Re: Conflict

Hello a beautiful morning.

The moment you come to the end of an inquiry point where you cannot move in any direction at all, isn’t it a fact, doesn’t the fact reveal and that you have come to an immovable fact? Every time a big chunk of inquiry is dropped, silence brings a new different perfume. It is strange every time and so it is seen as unlimited by the inquiry. The thing is unpredictable all along and it makes the mind so shy from the positive approach,  though to approach any inquiry it must go all in, has a lot of energy, and pass all personal safety barriers. This time again the understanding of the fact of a self behind the inquiry comes at a different turn on the road. I tried to apply the principle, the experience, the way of previous insight but I saw the total childish and incapable residue of the past that could no way penetrate freely into the new and I dropped it. The main principle is still recognized later that when you give all your energy, intensity, clarity to inquire into an issue and come to the end point of it where in a lack of conscious direction, there is a complete non division and the fact reveals. The observer is the observed at the moment and it is all over. Silence is never the same as before.

You come to it by discovery. You can start the inquiry with a caution in mind such as motive distorts direct observation but the very caution is the binding control itself. K is always correct by giving you all the suggestions plus a loose end saying that no one can teach you to be an artist. They can give you the colors and the brushes but you have to paint it yourself. Of course it is no good to sit and keep commenting on which color and brush to use.

And thanks for the limo service that drove me to a hospital last night.

willy: yes; otherwise stumpy would not be so adamant on showing others that they have thrown it away, which is why stumpy said, "no need to reach for what you already have"

tree: once again you create a strawman, not 'adamant' about 'showing' anything, merely stating the obvious: no need to reach for what is already here

you may think that it can be or 'reached for' or 'thrown away' but these are only more of your abstractions...whack on

Re: Conflict

stumpy pontificates: "...is presence here, now.....alive and indestructable, regardless of what you think or don't think"

if so, why do you keep repeating that point?

to what end, stumps?

Re: Conflict

good, stumpy in an answering mood. A question.

tree wrote:

there is no you...there is no question...there is no answer....no problem...no solution...no seed of salvation...nothing to offer...

go, thou art free

If you had ended the above with "go, you are free," would that have changed your meaning?

Is your use of the thou and thy intended to refer to that presence you are thinking of?
