Kindly be mindful of the following points regarding the forum. Dialogue is thinking together - it isn’t debate - and it's inquiring together without end point or agenda. People come into the dialogue from their own place of understanding, which is not going to be your place of understanding. We’re here to communicate together, learn together and gain insight into our own thought; to receive and share our observations, not impose our views on others. Address the comments in a polite, considerate manner. By all means, ask for clarification, but challenge the comment, not the commentator. We don’t know enough about the others to make those judgments and we’re here to learn about ourselves, not to correct another's perceived personality flaws. If a comment brings an emotional response, look at that. Do you feel the need to defend? To attack? Time for some looking inward. Self protection results in war. Besides, the war is in each of us. Stop that war, and the rest will take care of itself. (For some suggestions on the nature of dialogue, please click here)

Agreed...the K-cult being equally as dull...endlessly rambling about how "one is either totally free or not free at all" in one breath and then talking about how they are "learning" and "unlearning" in the next breath, not having the slightest clue what the hell they are talking about.   You know, the followers who say things like "I'm not half as insightful as K ever was".

But that is just my take on him, and each to their own.

Your take is entirely ignorant, uninformed, and utterly presumptuous, which is all but a lame attempt to discredit my observations by somehow discrediting someone I have a certain respect for.

Deida lived with Adi Da for a time in the 80's and he felt he helped him break through some patterns at that time in his life. He shortly after that totally disassociated himself with him and as far as I know has never even mentioned his name.  Adi Da was a nut job on every level as far as I am concerned.

sds wrote:

As for me, I will stick with my current stack of K books. I cant go wrong with K.

Now I disagree with your statement though that I am not ready for Deida. I am more than ready, and actually way ahead of him. When you have studied K as deep as deeply as I have, someone like Deida is actually kindergarten material for me.

Funny, since you know nothing about Deida's work other than some derogatory posting you just searched for on google.

Again, your immaturity is glaring and any dialogue with you would be simply me negating your false assertions all day long. Gosh, that sounds fun but I'm gonna pass.  I've had enough of that with pearl for a lifetime, at least.

Glad to know that we both agree that Adi Da was a nut job.

Thanks for sharing more about the bio of David Deida. And am glad to know that his association with Adi Da was short lived. And that he moved on himself.

Yes, you know me Eden, I did look up any dirt I could find on him. Found a little blurb over at rickross which is a cult forum.

My immaturity is glaring you say. Well, maybe....

Yes, this is a good question. Is Krishnaji included in the above list, or is he an exception to the rule?

The same, the K followers which are many here and no need to go into naming, but folks like eden take the cake in living a life of total blindness, stupidity, followed by the followers of the ramana's and K's  all the same, sick, hurting individuals to whom nothing but compassion arises.  No real relationship possible with any though.

Re: Cool Quotes.

Pearl, I investigated a little into this David Deida guy, and reported my findings here.

From what I read, you would not like this fellow at all. In fact, I think his approach to male and female relationships would turn your stomach sick.

What I found interesting though is Marriane Williamson, Lama Surya Das, and Ken Wilber all endorse him and his books.

Re: Cool Quotes.

People like eden and sds cannot see anyone but as gurus because they are addcited to gurus, so to them K too is one, as for many K followers who remain aggressive like.... who never ever stand on their own feet, second hand beings. The freedom they profess is only momentary which is no freedom at all to begin with.   Most here are the same, the trees, the joes the kirstens, the rj's.  good luck guys, no gurus are going to save you from the ignorance, the second hand beings that you are and will be.  Goodbye.

Re: Cool Quotes.

What I have discovered the last few nights, is that real communication, a real relationship is not possible with most on here.

No communication is possible with most.

That is a fact....

Not interested in any of it, SDS.  Life is way too beautiful, too powerful for all these gurus and their followers to ever comprehend.  It seems like you are content with half truths like the edens of the forums, only a little differently in that you have your own gurus.  Frankly, I doubt your sincerity, integrity in the long run.

I totally agree with this though. Very wise insight you have/had.

I agree as long as I am a second hand human being, I will be ignorant.... So true......

Nothing personal Bob. You just happen to be the particular chain smoker and bigot that she is showering with praise. It could be anyone.

I was simply questioning pearls measuring sticks of integrity. From what I have seen of pearl thus far she is perhaps the poorest judge of male integrity that I have ever encountered in a woman.  She does however seem to be a much better judge once they show up at her doorstep, but until then, she has all sorts of blinders.

How one treats their own body doesn't seem to be a relevant barometer of integrity. In fact that only quality that one needs to demonstrate to be seen as a man of total integrity in her eyes is whether or not they sing her praises and side with her when she is spewing her duality and labels and childish insults(worshiping K will also score you a few brownie points too assuming you praise her in the same breath).

As a wise woman on this forum once wrote to me "Excuse me Pearl, but you should look in the mirror."

I will find others whom I can relate with and communicate if that is what is desired. But in truth, reality, I need none of this. I am not attached to you or anyone in here.

But you are right about me, it is indeed true, I am very unstable and all over the place. But that is what makes me, me. And I love it and wouldnt change it for the world.

Nothing at all taken personal eden. We all see others through the filters of our emotions. A clear picture of anyone is not easy and probably impossible on a forum like this. No one here is exempt

Two seconds ago she was the most intelligent woman you had ever encountered.  Surely you see how immature and unstable that makes you look. Pearl is as poor a judge of male integrity as you are of female sensitivity and intelligence. She was singing your highest praises two seconds ago also.

I still see a blossoming friendship going forward for you two, once your stack of gurus dwindles down to one(Jiddu). You are still two peas in a pod.

Re: Cool Quotes.

I love this forum in that it is a great example of how the mind works, you get to see it in action.

Tonight was priceless. As were the last few days/nights.

I am always learning from this place.

I still might be lower than the fungus on the toe of a certain guru, but I relish every interaction here and have the highest respect for each and every one of you.

Quite right.  To the extent that one constantly misunderstands and labels another body, one is clueless of one's own.

Eden, I have watched and observed this take place.

It was coming, Eden. I knew it was only a matter of time.

She still is a very intelligent woman to me and I still love her dearly and respect her.

I agree, I look very immature and unstable. But I dont care how I look, I am not into images. I also look very immature in most of my exchanges with you, but that doesnt stop me, now, does it?

I agree with you though that Pearl is a very poor judge of male character.

And I too am a poor judge of females.

Laughing, with your comment about my stack of gurus. I have noticed every time I mention Ramana on here, she has a fit, totally freaks out over him and calls him a creep, etc. I told her in a post awhile back that I would never agree with her on this one, about Ramana that is. I love him dearly.

I doubt though we can ever go back to what we were, whatever that was. For real communication to take place, there has to be genuine love and care and affection between the two, and she just doesnt have it towards me....
