I think it dispelled a lot of myths. I knew already some of the facts without researching anything. A lot of people know already, but they'd rather believe in a fairy tale, in order to feel 'secure'. Which of course is false security.

That's what is nice with K : you can have some actual quotes. Merry Christmas Bruce!

Do not want to provoke hot discussions, (they are going on longer the 2000 years about the New Testament, anyway), neither argue with you, my friends.
Just my opinion.
If you read attentively enough the myths of Christ and Krishnamurti, you might be surprized to find a lot in common, if not exactly the same at very last.

If their message is similar, that would be something.

Krishnamurti is much more adapted to mentality and spiritual ripens of modern human being. He is more compact and strictly directed to the point without using attractive supernatural shows like different kind of miracles described in the Bible. He also directly rejects believing and following him when Christ speaks about that sophisticated parables.
Christ also is rather myth than history. Krishnamurti is just our contemporary.

Krishnamurti has also a lot in common with Buddha.
Three Nobble Truths of Buddha directly included in the Teaching of Krishnamurti, anyway.
The fourth Noble Truth is pretty obscure for itself, maybe because there are different writings of it.
Could be translation’s problem, could be a corruption of the legend in the time.

Really???!
More theory, more conclusions. Again, you're sacrificing yourself when you speak through another. Have a voice of your own, anybody, please, let's talk, not through others.

So nobody's seen it.
Ok, what are the myths about Jesus? What did people make up about him? Even if you didn't see it, you can't help knowing this.

Bruce, you are the one who started saying you've learned something from a bunch of commentaries on a CNN program.

Doesn’t matter of course, but it’s more likely he took up some ancient Egyptian spiritual teachings which had initially nothing had to do with Buddhism, developed them and wanted to adapt them specifically for Jews.

Jesus is as real as Santa Claus.

There is some evidence that Jesus studied with Hindu gurus in the Himalayas.

Only Santa Clause supposed to make you happy once a year in this life, but Jesus once and forever in the other one.

I’ve heard that.
There are allegations around the world, there exists the fifth Gospel from Peter and it is written in there along with many new parables. I’ve read some of them and they are pretty interesting and wise.
But that’s merely a thick legend.
It’s like there are ‘evidences’; one that his father was a Roman soldier; the second, his father was a priest from the asylum she was living in being an orphan.
Not to forget, of course, that Mary Magdalena was his lover and he had a child.
This ‘evidence’ inspired even producing a movie, ‘Da Vinci Code’, I guess.

Of course, all kinds of stories have been written. Just look at the differences between the disciples' accounts of Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday.
I thought there was archeological written evidence of a "Jesus" in combination with the name of a group of gurus.
Anyway, I'm sure stories about K will develop over the years too.

sure.. and they already do.

Of course. Good luck with that though, even most of the news is really gossip and propaganda.
