 What does it mean to attend to the present moment? Is there focus of the mind but also the heart? And is there simultaneously a sense of openness? What does it feel like to be immersed and receptive to "what is?" Rather than ask students to "pay attention," here at Oak Grove School we try to create an environment where the nature of attention can be explored and fostered. Students are encouraged both to understand the world they live in and, through self-knowledge, to illuminate its sacredness. |

 We know of the moments when we are unexpectedly drawn out of our routine, suddenly attentive to that which is already there; the light falling through the canopy of a tree, the shape of a leaf or an owl in hiding. Nature is everlastingly and patiently waiting for opportunities to break through into our everyday life with its presence. In these moments we connect again to what we deeply value and treasure in life, and how we want to live - something so easily lost in the pressures of modern life. ~ We publish J. Krishnamurti’s teachings to remind us of this beauty and have created a retreat and educational center where each of us can step out of these pressures and connect to what we value. |

In order to grow the community of people who have access to Krishnamurti's teachings and keep Oak Grove School strong and available to a diverse student population, please consider signing up for a recurring donation of at least $10 a month.
Some of us may be able to give more than $10 a month. If you fall into the latter category we ask that you consider giving more to close the funding gap. We thank you for your generosity! |

The Gap
This year our budget is $4.4 million, including Oak Grove School. To balance our budget we need to raise an additional $800,000.
Your gift will help us fulfill our mission - to provide to the world educational programs and resources that explore the deeper meaning of learning, understanding, intelligence, and freedom in human consciousness.

Your donation may go towards:
- Support for Oak Grove School, so it can close its 18% funding gap and ensure a diverse student body from every economic strata and part of the world.
- Support for small groups of new and experienced teachers exploring a revolution in education, inspired by Krishnamurti's seminal work.
- Retreat style residential programs for young college students at a cross roads in the direction of their lives.
- Contemplative programs for adults wishing to explore the deeper meaning of their life's trajectory.
- Preservation of the archival holdings, and digitization of Krishnamurti's work so it can be made available to others.
- Construction of a new internet portal that will provide huge amounts of Krishnamurti's work free to all – text, video and audio.
- The Krishnamurti Education Center in Ojai, utilizing the buildings Krishnamurti lived in, and expanding the capacity for residential and day programs.
